Bethany Kenyon is an emerging artist located in Hamilton, Ontario. By manipulating a collection of handmade and found objects, a connection to the anthropomorphic, of displaced bodies, arises in her current work. She works with combinations of figuration and abstraction to bring forward various emotions and a powerful sense of personhood in the work she creates.
Bethany graduated from Redeemer University College with a Fine Arts Major and Philosophy Minor. Her drawings and paintings have been shown in public, co-operative and commercial galleries as well as various curated shows at churches and conferences.
Bethany also enjoys volunteering at Re-Create, a drop-in art studio in downtown Hamilton where street-involved youth can create art for free in a safe environment.
